    Hello Rob,

to get the WebPart installed on your tenant and available on the sites, please follow this instruction: https://bitalus.com/download/doc/How to install a WebPart v0.1.pdf
Please also note to create the custom list in classic mode (to have the correct internal field names), described above.
If you have finished this, you could use it like internal WebParts from Microsoft and link the List within its WebPart Properties.

We have more than 1000 users on our tenant, I'm wondering how it is performing with a couple thousand entries within the list?

    Hello Taylor,

The QuickLinks WebPart is tested with a large list (more than 1'000'000 entries) and was working still fast.
We recommend to set an index field within the list to use it also with more than 5'000 entries.

But we are working to implement a new functionality to store the custom links on the Employees Business OneDrive as an option.

I watched the video and here are some things that are not intuitive and would be very helpful to know.

    • Can you use Microsoft o365 icons from the o365 icon set or Font Awesome icons?
    • Can you set the layout as you can with the on-prem version? (Horizontal, vertical, fixed or fluid grid)
    • Can you use a view?
    • What is the ‘Drop Zone’?
    • What kind of options are available for the webpart settings?

    Juli,

    • Can you use Microsoft o365 icons from the o365 icon set or Font Awesome icons?
At this version only hyperlinks / Urls are working as an image.
We do have another request for icons to choose from a dropdown. We are looking at this within the next release.
    • Can you set the layout as you can with the on-prem version? (Horizontal, vertical, fixed or fluid grid)
These two web parts are different kind of web parts and the O365 version was available before the onPrem. It is just having the same name, but the mechanism is different.
The Quick Links we are talking about is used to let employees build their own Links, stored within a list or within the employees OneDrive for Business.

But with CSS adjustments, it should be possible to reorganize the links.
There is no property to set a layout.
    • Can you use a view?
If views are supportet, it is always listed in the settings description.
So this web part is not supporting list views by the current version.
    • What is the ‘Drop Zone’?
Drop Zones are the zones you Drop the dragged Item to a new ordering zone.
This web part supports drag and drop to reorganziate the items.
    • What kind of options are available for the webpart settings?
    Options settings are not published.
If there is an update for a non common feature, we most likely use an option string.
